"I told you all Jordan Rayner would be the next ICW Champion! I was 100% correct. What I didn't see coming was the big screw job of ICW managing partner, BDG playing favorites like he loves to do. Joker was hurt before the match. He had a psychotic episode and tried to attack the announcers, Jordan tried to stop himbut the Joker WAS wild and he hurt himself! He was sent to the hospital for an MRI! He was NOT there at the start of the main event, so -I- personally counted him out. He lost. Jordan won the title! Than a Joker-like wrestler shows up and gets a shot. I NEVER agreed to the match as the champs manager. He wasn't medically cleared. I'm not even sure it was the REAL Joker! Well, forget about He who laughs last, come Road 2 Ruin it will be he WHO bleeds first, and that WILL BE NO JOKE!"
Written August 13th, 2010:
I have just returned home from visiting my forensic pyschologist, Dr. Brannon. After undergoing a battery of tests I have been diagnosed with POST TRAUMATIC STRESS SYNDROME. Furthermore, a comprehensive CTSCAN of my brain indicated severetrauma, sepcifically to my medulla oblongata. These horrible inflictions are a direct result of recent events that I have been the victim of in Independent Championship Wrestling. The head trauma is a result of The Joker dropkicking a chair into my skull. The PTSD is a result of Managing Partner Big Daddy Gonzo's unfair and unjust actions that lead to my distinction of now having managed one of the shortest reigning champions in Pro Wrestling history. Therefore, I have consulted with my attorney of record, Mr. Buttermore, and I will be taking legal action against The Joker, BDG, and ICW. Although I understand they are an independent promotion and function on a limited budget, I will be asking for punitive damages, and damages for my pain and suffering, joint and several from the 3 above named parites totaling $173 BILLION Dollars! While I have been advised NOT to publicly discuss this pending litigation, I do so now appealing to the fans and officials of ICW to avoid a long drawn out court battle, and simply hand over the ICW Championship back to Jordan Raynor as an out of court settlement. Thank you.

Over the years no stable has had the longevity of the Rude Awakening. Members have come and members have gone more times than any of us care to remember. But while the R.A. continues to grow and replenish its ranks, its never-say-die attitude is one of the things that we can attribute to its lifespan. Most of the ICW fans weren’t here to see its beginnings; many have just come to accept it for what it is. The following is a concise history of the Rude Awakening and it’s membership changes over the years.
It all began at Insanniverssary 3. The Team of Johnny “The Rage” Messiah, Ton, Skorpio, and Candii Fox donned the red and black and announced for the first time ever that the fans and ICW would never be the same and that they would all feel “A RUDE AWAKENING”.
Rampage, Mar 21st, 2004 - Perfect Pico attacks Jersey Kid after his victory against Johnny Messiah firmly joining the Rude Awakening and promising to take out a newcomer to the ICW roster, Dirt Bike kid.
Double Jeopardy Jul 25th, 2004 – Perfect Pico injures himself during a match with DBK. The Rude Awakening, having no sympathy for weakness, kicks Pico out of their ranks.
One Man Sacrifice Aug 22nd, 2004 – The Jersey Kid, now calling himself Dash Maverick Joins the Rude Awakening.
Total Meltdown Nov 21st, 2004 – In a stunning turn of events Skorpio is kicked out of the Rude Awakening, and Dash Maverick takes over as the leader.
Dead End Jan 23rd 2005 – Ton vs. Dash Maverick vs. Joker for the ICW Hardcore title. Dash Explains to Ton that he should lay down and let him win. Ton refuses. Ton wins the Title and is attacked by the rest of Rude Awakening after the match. Ton Kicked out.
Rampage Mar 6th, 2005 – R.A. Claims at the opening of the show that there will be two new members; A rookie and a big surprise. Skull Mussolini was revealed to be the new rookie member, and Flames shocked everyone by committing to the red and black.
From Jul 30, 2005 to Mar 4, 2007 ICW takes a Hiatus.
The Rude Awakening returns on July 29th 2007. The members are introduced as Skull, Flamez, Skorpio, Candii Fox, and their new manager, David Diamond.
Brink of Insanity Jan 20, 2008 – Skorpio helps DBK retain the ICW Championship. DBK joins the ranks of the Rude Awakening in what is one of the most shocking moments in ICW history. From then on DBK is known as Shawn Prime.
Total Meltdown Feb. 24, 2008 – Candii Fox leaves the Rude Awakening and Joins Q-ba Libre as his valet. Possibly tired of the Rude Awakening’s antics and craving a little Latino fire. My sources are sketchy from this time period.
On the Down Low April 17th, 2008 – At the Miami Beach Convention center, Snake Master Abudadein and Sean Allen join the Rude Awakening on temporary status as R.A.’s enforcers.
Crossing the Line July 19th, 2008 – Rude Awakening grows even more with the addition of Teddy Kahn and Kristy Kash. Snake Master Abudadein and Sean Allen on the final month of their temporary contracts with the Rude Awakening.
Road to Ruin Sept 14th 2008 – Skorpio’s mask gets ripped off during a match with Mykal Manix. Skorpio, perhaps blaming Shawn Prime for lack of action, gets the Rude Awakening to attack Prime costing him his title, and kicking him out of the Rude Awakening. J-Biggs Joins.
R.A. Now consists of Skorpio, J-biggs, Teddy Kahn, Kristy Kash, and David Diamond.
Body Count Mar 21st 2009 – Sometime in the month leading into this show Stud Magnum joins with his protégé Mr. Wrestling Troy Taylor.
Summer Brawl Aug 30th, 2009 – Troy Taylor removed from the R.A. Skorpio extends an invitation to Arson Blaze and his sister Allison Spade. Arson accepts the change from blue and black to red and black.
Raging Controversy Dec 20th, 2009 – Shawn Prime joins Rude Awakening again.
Battle Rumble Jan 16th 2010 – Early in the show Sean Phoenix and Evan Sky join as the R.A.’s newest tag team. They attack Arson Blaze and Allison Spade, adding insult to injury, cuts off his hair. Later that night, J-Biggs attacks Shawn Prime during his match with Dash Maverick, announces he’s leaving the Rude Awakening.
And that takes us up to today. As of the upcoming show Summer Brawl, the members of Rude Awakening are: The tag team of Evan Sky and Sean Phoenix, Shawn Prime, Flex Magnum, Allison Spade, and David Diamond as Managers, and Skorpio as the leader. One could say that the Rude Awakening changes members more often than some people change their underwear, but maybe it’s this willingness to change and adapt that’s helped the Rude Awakening stay alive so long. One can only wait and see what the future holds for this mega-stable. Who knows who is going to be the next member, who is going to be the next one kicked out? No one does, and that’s what makes the Rude Awakening what it is.
ERA & Shawn Prime VS Dude Hate & J-Biggs ended in a No Contest
Big Daddy Gonzo defeated "Bling" David Diamond
TC Reid defeated Dash Maverick in a Blindfold Match to retain the ICW You Tube Championship
Joker defeated Beast in a No DQ Match to retain the ICW Championship, only to have said Championship stolen at the hands of Jordan Rayner and Bobby Rogers, of FOW fame.
Calypso defeated Angel Rose & Vanessa Venom in a Triple Threat Match to become the new ICW Women's Champion. Stud Magnum was the Special Guest Referee
Jordan Rayner defeated Q-ba Libre. After the match Rayner attempted to rip Q-ba's mask off. The South Beach Sensations came out to make the save, only to be obliberated by Rayner. Joker finally came in and attacked Rayner and took his Championship back.
The System (Manix & Stardom) defeated The TradeMarX (Trade & MarX) to capture the ICW United States Tag Team Championship in ICW's First Ever Ladder Match. This match got a standing ovation from everyone in attendance including all the wrestlers which exited the locker room in appreciation of the match.
Ask anyone who has been to an ICW show. Anyone who has seen the highlight reels online. Anyone who has even heard of these two teams and one word comes to mind: Epic. The System face The TrademarX once again at ICW’s “No Boundaries” but this time they’ll be dealing with an X-factor.
Yet another first in ICW History; the United States Tag Team Titles will be on the line in a ladder match. The First Team to climb the ladder and remove the belts will win the match and be the undisputed tag champions. This match can only be described as dangerous, deadly, and disastrous. No one who’s ever entered a ladder match has left the same man that went in. What can we expect when you have a match like this with two teams who have literally given their blood, sweat and tears in pursuit of these belts?
It all started at “Battle Rumble” in January when the TrademarX would face the then champion System for the very first time. In a very impressive, although short-lived match, both teams put on a heck of a show. That match was thrown out due to outside interference. A month later the TrademarX surprised everyone when they beat the System in what some people are calling the match of the year. Since then The Two teams have faced each other for the tag titles in one form or another two more times. This will be their fifth battle and what better way, than a symbolic and literal rise to the top of the tag team world in an unforgiving Ladder Match?
This will not be easy on either team, but especially on the System. While some consider them to be the best tag team going today, rumblings around the locker room say that if the System doesn’t win this match and claim the titles, Max Stardom and Mykal Manix, just might go their separate ways. I for one would hate to see such a uniform tag team break up; especially in the wrestling business today where such good tag teams are few and far in between. Will this be the end of the System as a tag team? Will Manix and Stardom climb the ladder to success? Or will the TrademarX hold on to the belts they’ve worked so hard to obtain and retain? There’s only one way to find out. ICW’s “No Boundaries” Live from the Polish American Club in Miami, June 12th.
ICW’s “No Boundaries” is tied together by making almost every match have a stipulation. The Main Event between Joker and Beast will be No Disqualification; The U.S. Tag Title will be decided in a Ladder Match; Jordan Rayner and Q-ba Libre will fight it out for the number one contendership for the ICW Championship; and last of the scheduled matches so far is a Blindfold Match between the Youtube Champion TC Reid, and The Awesome-One Dash Maverick.
This will be yet another first to take place at “No Boundaries”. ICW has never had a blindfold match in the entirety of its existence. June 12th, TC Reid and Maverick will have to rely on their other four senses, as their sense of sight will be disabled. This can prove to be a very dangerous match. Without being able to see, one can fall through the ropes, hit a turnbuckle or any other of the numerous perils that can befall these competitors.
This war between TC and Dash started out a few months ago at “Tag Team Turmoil”. TC was supposed to tag with Beast, and Dash with former tag partner Mr. Vega. Upon his entrance TC got into a scuffle with Beast, prompting him to request a switch of partners. TC and Dash went on to win that match, but Director of Authority, Skorpio, nullified the switch of partners and proclaimed Reid and Beast the winners. Beast went on to win the rumble at the end of that show and gained the Number one contendership, which he’ll also claim at “No Boundaries”.
This event left a sour note in Dash Maverick. Perhaps he felt that because of TC’s switch of partners he was robbed of a shot for the title. After all, he would have had Beast’s spot and Beast went on to win. Dash attacked TC at “Body Count” and claimed that he’s not a worthy champion.
TC Reid and Dash Maverick will have to overcome the sight handicap to claim the Youtube Title. TC has already had successful defenses as champion, but Dash Maverick did beat TC already to earn a shot at the title. Will he do it again despite the blindness and earn his first title since his return to wrestling? Will TC Reid retain his title despite the perilous pitch-black provision of prodigious proportions? Find out at ICW’s “No Boundaries”.
Big Daddy Gonzo has done it again. He aims to settle two feuds with one match. ICW’s “No Boundaries” will see the pairing up of Former Heavyweight Champion Shawn Prime, and Pure X Crown Champion E.R.A. III against the duo of J-Biggs and the ultimate underdog, Dude Hate.
J-Biggs and Shawn Prime have had a sorted history. They’ve gone back and forth more times than the Hatfield’s and the McCoy’s. No two people in ICW have ever hated each other more bitterly and powerfully than these two. Now they meet once again as opponents, but with an added bonus of a partner. Shawn Prime will be teamed with E.R.A. III, and J-Biggs will be on the side of Dude Hate.
E.R.A. III and Dude Hate are no strangers to each other either. At “Body Count”, Dude Hate received a shot at the E.R.A.’s Pure X Title, which he almost won. Hate, much to the crowd’s approval, used a pair of brass knucks to lay out E.R.A. and gain the pinfall. Sadly, the referee noticed the knucks, disqualified Dude Hate, and E.R.A. retained his belt. Dude Hate goes into this match with something to prove. He’s going to want that win over E.R.A. to show that he deserves a shot at that Pure X Title again. E.R.A. stands to prove that Hate’s victory at “Body Count” was a cheating fluke and that Hate doesn’t even belong in the same ring as the champ.
Biggs and Dude Hate have a lot to contend with in this match as they both face worthy opponents and two former champions. This match proves to be a nail-biter from bell to bell.
ICW’s “No Boundaries” will mark the first time that Beast (A.K.A. Brian “The Beast” Brody) sets foot in an ICW ring with the possibility of walking out of it with the ICW Heavyweight Title.
Saturday June 12th Beast gets the chance of a lifetime; the chance to face The Heavyweight Champion, Joker, for his recently earned title. Joker has faced a barrage of competitors both as champ, and on his way back to the title, but nothing near the likes of Beast. Joker won back the title from Shawn Prime at ICW’s “Body Count” when it was revealed that he was, in fact, the wrestler known as Outlaw. He’s been hiding under the guise of the scarlet-clad cowboy since his defeat at the hands of Prime at “Raging Controversy VIII” in December of ’09. Joker was promised that he would never get a shot at the title again. But he has prevailed, and once again holds the gold only to face this rage of a Beast only a month later.
Brian “The Beast” Brody has never held ICW Heavyweight gold in his tenure with ICW, nor has he even had a chance. Beast has a very unorthodox and animalistic style that’s hard to predict. He also has a back-and-forth repertoire with the fans; sometimes they cheer him, sometimes they boo him. It’s hard to tell if Joker will be the fan favorite in this match or not. Joker will definitely have his hands full with him come “No Boundaries”.
Can Joker retain the title he’s worked so hard to re-capture? Will he merely be a transitional champion as Beast pulls an upset, and carries the torch into the future of ICW? The only way to find out is to buy your tickets and be there Live.
